NewWeigh Short Linear Weigher

NewWeigh linear weighers with 1 vibrating feeder between feed hopper and weigh hopper are particularly suitable for fine-grained products. This short version produces less dust accumulation and less segregation of for example tea, muesli and seed mixtures. In addition, the weigher requires little space in your production environment, because of its compact footprint.

OUTPUT

The maximum output is 20 weighings per minute per weighing head, depending on the weight and volume. For higher capacities the weighers can be equipped with up to 4 heads, obtaining a capacity of up to 80 portions per minute. In addition, there are various models available for weights up to 3 kg (8 l volume) and larger models up to 10 kg (30 l volume).

OPERATION

The weighing process starts in the weigher’s feed hopper, where the product is supplied in bulk. The product is then transported to the weigh hopper by a vibrating feeder with coarse and fine dosing. During the coarse dosing phase the vibrating feeder is set to a higher amplitude to transport approx. 80% of the set weight to the weigh hopper as quickly as possible. This phase is followed by the fine dosing phase, during which the amplitude is lower for optimum accuracy. After the weight has been reached and checked, the weigh hopper is opened automatically and the next weighing cycle will start.

VERSION AND OPTIONS

The NewWeigh weighers are fully made of stainless steel. All parts that come into contact with the product, are made of 304 stainless steel (2B finish). Upon request, a version made of 316 stainless steel is also available. All contact parts can be treated with materials such as teflon to avoid sticking and product deposits. The exterior of the feed hopper and discharge chute can be coated to reduce the noise level. Pneumatic parts are made by Festo, are available nearly everywhere and guarantee a consistent and high quality.
