OPERATION OF LONG LINEAR WEIGHER

“Long” weighers are equipped with a hopper with a vibrating chute, which is controlled by an ultrasonic sensor above the subsequent vibrating chute. This ensures an even layer height in the machine. The vibration strength can be controlled separately (separately programmable in coarse and fine dosing). A fine chute provides the post-dosing. This chute is easy to adjust to the product to be weighed. The outlet of the coarse and fine vibrating chute is equipped with valves for weighing the product as accurately as possible.

DESIGN AND OPTIONS

NewWeigh linear weighers are made entirely of stainless steel, with all parts that come into contact with the product made of 304 stainless steel (2B finish). A stainless steel 316 version is also available on request. All contact parts can be treated with Teflon, among other things, to prevent sticking and product build-up. The outside of the hopper and the drop chute can also be coated to reduce noise levels. The pneumatic parts are from Festo, which are widely available and guarantee consistent high quality.

CONTROL

NewWeigh weighing machines are easy to control thanks to the following features:

  • Fully programmable control via IPC with colour touch screen
  • Storage of 90 programmes, allowing for quick product changes
  • All industrial weighers have MID approval, making them calibratable.
