COMBIMAT MULTIHEAD

With more than 800 machines installed, the Combimat multihead has proven itself in a wide variety of industries. Cherry tomatoes, nuts, chewing gum, frozen vegetables, olives, sweets, lettuce, but also bolts, pet food and even play sand and cannabis are processed by these machines every day.

Starting out with standard 8-, 10- and 14-head weighers, the range has now been expanded with mix weighers and twin outlets, and thanks to the many possible project-specific modifications, the Combimat is often the right choice.

COMBIMAT MULTIHEAD OPERATION

With the multihead weigher, the product is transported to the storage bins via a central vibrating top cone and vibrating chutes. These empty into the weighing bins, where the high-precision load cells determine the weight. Each weighing hopper contains approximately a quarter of the set weight, and the weigher calculates the best combination that is closest to the target weight. These selected hoppers are opened and come together via the central outlet funnel before landing in the packaging machine.

DESIGN AND OPTIONS

The Combimat multihead weigher is made of stainless steel and is easy to clean because all trays, gutters and chutes can be disassembled and assembled without tools. Thanks to the different available volumes of weighing trays (0.5 l, 1.6 l, 2.5 l and 5 l), a suitable solution can be offered for almost any weight and volume.

Many options are available on the Combimat weighers:

  • 6WL and 15dp dimple plate
  • Collection tray under the weigher for smooth transfer to the packaging machine
  • Chutes at an angle for very sticky products
  • U-shaped chutes for small target weights
  • 60° angle for sticky products (e.g. lettuce)

CONTROL

Operation is entirely via a clear 10.4″ colour touch screen with storage for 99 programmes. The comprehensive software includes weighing filters, e-mark control and password protection.
