APPLICATIONS OF THE S-SERIES CHECKWEIGHERS

The checkweighers in the S-series are suitable for weighing a large number of products within the pharmaceutical industry and beyond, such as blister packs of pills and capsules, packages containing test strips for determining blood sugar levels and eye wash bottles. S-Checkweigher

OPERATION AND CONTROL

A conveyor belt transports the products through the weighing section, where they are checked for weight. Products that meet your set weight criteria are transported further to the output side. Products that do not meet the weight criteria are removed from the product flow to the side and directed to a plastic and stainless steel “reject” collection bin. A photocell sends a signal to the control system as soon as the collection bin is full.

Depending on the model, you can operate the system using a 7 or 10-inch touchscreen, while a printer is integrated for reporting purposes. The innovative Nemesis EasyWeigh® technology, based on a dynamic weighing algorithm, ensures that no calibration or product training is required. This not only allows you to get started super fast, but also to switch products in just a few seconds.

MODELS AND OPTIONS

The S-series checkweighers are available in various configurations, ranging from 3 to 6 belts with a width of 45 to 160 mm and a length of 150 to 350 mm. Depending on the model, the weighing capacity ranges from a minimum of 1 g to a maximum of 600 g. The weighing accuracy for all models is greater than +/- 0.005 g. The belt speed is a maximum of 120 m/min, which is good for around 600 products per minute.

For the discharge of products that do not meet the set weight criteria, you can choose from a pneumatically operated side discharge, a high-speed pneumatic discharge, a discharge with single or double air nozzle or a tilting plate. The weighers are built to IP54 as standard, protected against dust ingress and splash-proof; optionally, they can also be supplied to IP65, dust-free and spray-proof. This means you always have a checkweigher that is optimally suited to your operating environment.
